Toronto Newborn Photography | So many newborns in the studio lately. I thought I would share a few baby pictures from one of my Toronto newborn photo sessions from the studio.

Many clients ask what they can expect from a typical baby session. I generally use a mixture of studio lighting and natural lighting, working off of one-three different backgrounds that I have set up so that I can move the newborn from set to set quite quickly. I take the time for family shots (with siblings if desired), mom with newborn, daddy with baby, baby in dads arms. I then do a few different set-ups and photograph newborn alone (in plain material, against the brick, door, faces, full body, details, curled, laying down…) Much of the photo session depends on the newborn but if baby is settled I keep shooting often presenting clients with 65+ images in their gallery. I don’t limit the amount of images I take and try to present a creative mixture of simple and artistic images.

Baby S was a perfect model, sleeping for most of her newborn photo session. She moved seamlessly between backgrounds and settings. Below are a just a few to illustrate what a client can expect during a baby session at the loft.
